How to Integrate Swikly with Lodgify?


1. Connect your Swikly account to Lodgify

1. Connect your Swikly account to Lodgify


Open Lodgify in one browser tab and Swikly in another, so you can easily switch between the two platforms.


  • From your Lodgify account, click on "Marketplace" in the left-hand menu


  • Search for the Swikly application and click on the "Swikly" insert

  • Copy the credentials and paste them as shown below:

From your Swikly account, click on the "Applications and integrations" menu, search for Lodgify and click on "Connect”

  • Paste your user ID in "Lodgify user ID"


  • Paste the Lodgify API key into "Lodgify API key"


  • Click on "Confirm”



Your Swikly account is now connected to your Lodgify account!




2. Set up security deposit amounts in Swikly

 

  • After connecting Guesty to Swikly, the list of properties appears below:



Select: 

  • The default Swikly account
  • Type of request
  • Default security deposit amount

 

These fields must be filled in for Swikly links to work properly.

These security deposit amounts are only taken into account if no deposit amount has been entered in Guesty. The amounts defined in your PMS are given priority.




3. Set up security deposit amounts in Lodgify


The security deposit amounts for each property cannot be entered directly in Lodgify. These amounts must be configured exclusively through your Swikly account. Therefore, it is essential to enter your deposit amounts in Swikly for the links to function properly.

 


4. Configure the security deposit request email


Once you've defined your security deposit amounts, it's time to set up the email template that will include the link directing your customer to the deposit form.

 

  • From Lodgify, click on "Settings" at the bottom of the menu and then on "Custom automatic responses".

  • Name the notification. For example: “Swikly deposit request”


  • Choose the email language


  • In the "Message" section:


Write the content of your email, making sure to include the Swikly link (for example: In order to confirm your security deposit, please click here: “I confirm my security deposit”, then insert the Swikly link as a hyperlink. It is important to add the link as a hyperlink to avoid a formatting bug.

You can also personalize the email with the fields provided by Lodgify (Reservation number, Dates of stay, Guest's first name and surname) and insert one or more images.


  • Copy the Swikly link (available in the Applications & Integrations tab of your account):


 


  • In the "Programming" section: 


We recommend that you send the email between 10 and 7 days before the customer's arrival.


 

 


  • Specify the recipient of the notification:


We recommend selecting the "Guest" field only.



 

  • Choose for which reservation channel the notification should be sent: 

 


 

  • Choose for which properties the notification should be sent: 


 


 

  • Save your choices


  • Activate the notification by sliding the toggle to the right


 



 







 


5. Configure the reminder email (optional)


You can schedule a reminder email for your customers who have not secured their deposit after your first request, by repeating the previous steps.


  • Name your notification "Security Deposit Reminder".

 

  • Schedule sending 3 days before arrival

6. How do I know if the security deposit has been secured?*


Once the deposit is secured by the guest, a message stating "Swikly_deposit_secured" will appear on the reservation as shown below:

You can also check that the security deposit request emails have been sent for each reservation in the "Inbox" menu:
