How to Integrate Swikly with Guesty?

1. Connect your Swikly account to Guesty


Open Guesty in one browser tab and Swikly in another, so you can easily navigate between the two platforms.

 

  • On your Guesty account, click on "Integrations" then "Guesty Marketplace":

  • Type "Swikly" in the search bar. Two applications appear:

  • Click on the "Connect" button in the Swikly "New V2 Version" application. The following page appears:

  • Click on "Connect" again. The following page show up:

  • Copy the Integration Token
  • Go to your Swikly account
  • Click on "Applications and Integrations", then on "Guesty".
  • Paste the Integration Token into the "API Guesty Key" field:



  • Click on "Confirm »

 

Your Swikly account is now connected to your Guesty account!

 

2. Set up security deposit amounts in Swikly

 

  • After connecting Guesty to Swikly, the list of properties appears below:


Select: 

  • The default Swikly account
  • Type of request
  • Default security deposit amount

 

These fields must be filled in for Swikly links to work properly.

These security deposit amounts are only taken into account if no deposit amount has been entered in Guesty. The amounts defined in your PMS are given priority.


3. Set up security deposit amounts in Guesty

If your security deposit amounts have already been defined, you can proceed to the next step.

 

It is necessary to configure your security deposit amounts for each property on Guesty.

 

  • On Guesty, click on "Properties". The list of properties appears:

  • Click on a property name
  • Click on "Pricing & Policies" then "Pricing". The following window appears:

  • Enter the security deposit amount in the "Additional fees & charges" field by clicking on "Edit".
  • Click on "Save":

4. Configure the deposit request email

Once you've defined your security deposit amounts, it's time to configure the email template that will contain the link directing your customer to the deposit form.

  • Click on "Automations". The list of your workflows appears:

  • Click on "New Workflow" then "Create Custom":

  • Select "New reservation". The following page appears:

  • Click on "Add message". The following form appears

  • Name your message

 

  • Choose when the message should be sent (we recommend between 10 and 7 days before the customer's arrival)

 

  • Add shipping conditions (optional)

 

  • Select "Guest" for the message recipient

 

  • Select "Email" for the delivery method

 

  • Enter the subject of your e-mail request

 

  • In the "Message content" field, write the content of your email, making sure to include the Swikly link (e.g.: To deposit your deposit, please click here : [SWIKLY LINK]). You'll find this link in the "Applications & Integrations" tab of your Swikly account.

 

  • Click on "Save


  • Indicate the filters for sending your request email according to :
    • Your properties
    • Your booking channel
    • Your booking deadline

    • Name your workflow
    • Click on « Save & Activate »


5. Configure the reminder email (optional)


It is possible to schedule a reminder email for your customers who have not secured their deposit after your first request:

 

  • Click on "Properties”
  • Select a property
  • Click on "Saved replies". The following window appears:

  • Click on "Add new reply". The following window appears:

  • Fill in the indicated fields.
  • Click on "Close”

 

6. How do I know if the security deposit has been secured?*


You can track the status of your security deposit requests from several locations:

  • From the "Inbox" tab on Guesty :

  • From the "Reservations" tab on Guesty, add the "Swikly Deposit Secured" and "Total Paid" columns:

  • From the "Extra information" tab on a reservation :
