The online inventory


Swikly provides an online inventory feature, designed primarily for vacation and vehicle rental companies. Enhance your customers' check-in process and offer an improved experience with our online inventory service! It's easy: based on their rental dates, we email them and invite them to take photos at the start and end of the rental.

 

How does it work?

  • Upon arrival, your guests will receive an email inviting them to complete an online inventory. It’s almost as welcoming as a warm greeting at the front desk! 
  • They can take photos and write comments to report any damage present upon arrival or any other issues that need to be addressed 
  • Once the inventory has been submitted, it will be sent to you by email 
  • The inventory is always accessible from your dashboard in the Details tab of the transaction.

 

Personalize your online inventory


To further tailor the experience to your needs, the inventory is fully customizable. You can choose which items should be photographed and decide whether taking a photo is mandatory or optional for your clients.

 

To activate the inventory for your customers:

  1. Click on Preferences in the menu on the left 
  2. Select the Inventory tab 
  3. Check the box next to Activate the inventoryThe default language is english 
  4. Select the desired language tab Click on Add an Item to define the items that guests will need to photograph 
  5. Add all the necessary elements: 
    • For an accommodation rental: Kitchen, Living room, Bedroom 1, or even Coffee maker, Cupboard, Drawer... 
    • For a vehicle rental: Windshield, passenger door, driver's door... 
  6. Choose whether the item to be photographed is mandatory by checking the "Required" box. If no photo is submitted for a 'required' item, the inventory cannot be validated. 
  7. Don't forget to save the changes by clicking on Save

 

This option enables you to digitize the entire customer journey. However, it does not replace the physical inventory and is not mandatory. It allows you to be more responsive, providing exceptional customer service while reassuring your customers.
