Request a Swik (Security Deposit or No-show)

  • From your Swikly dashboard

You can send Swik requests directly from your Swikly account. How does it work?

  • Click on New request, in the left-hand menu
  • Choose the type of Swik you wish to request (deposit or no-show)
  • Enter the amount you wish to secure
  • Specify the start and end dates
  • To send the request by e-mail or SMS, enter your client's e-mail address and/or telephone number.
  • If you prefer to create a single-use link, to be sent yourself as you wish, leave your customer's email address or telephone number blank.
  • Enter your client's language of communication
  • Enter the reason for the request. For example: Deposit for your rental from March 7th to 10thThis reason will be displayed to your customer on the security deposit or payment request form.
  • Click on Create Request

That's it, you've created your Swik request!

This Swik will remain valid for the entire duration of the service, with an additional 20 days of validity to allow you enough time to confirm that everything went as expected.

You can then track the status of your Swik requests from your dashboard.

Is it possible to extend the validity period of a Swik?

No, it is not possible to extend the duration of a Swik, regardless of your subscription plan.

When a security deposit is made, we always verify the expiration date of the credit card used. Extending the Swik would carry the risk of a failed charge if the card expires during that period.

Please note:

The date shown on your dashboard is the day that the swik will expire.
To avoid any issues, if you need to charge the deposit we recommend requesting the charge the day before this date.

If your service is extended, simply create a new Swik to cover the additional period.

Why choose to generate a single-use link?

Creating a single-use link offers flexibility in your communication with clients, allowing you to integrate it wherever you need to request a deposit:

Copy it into your automated emails, ensuring it aligns perfectly with your company's spirit and identity.

Send it via SMS or WhatsApp for instant communication.

Place it in your usual communication channel with the client, such as instant messaging or booking platforms.

And any other communication method you use with your clients.

In short, use it where you and your clients are already in contact for maximum simplicity and efficiency."

Do you need to send numerous requests?
Is your security deposit amount always the same?
Don't have the time to request a security deposit for each client?

To send multiple requests without repeating the process manually, you can use a Permalink.

A Permalink is a permanent link that can be used as many times as you want, with a fixed deposit amount. It's fast, simple, and allows you more time to focus on your clients!

From your Swikly account, you can create as many permalinks as needed and use them in your own communications. Here's how:

  1. Click on Permalinks in the menu on the left.
  2. Click on Create a Permalink at the top right.
  3. Name your Permalink (e.g., Deposit 250€).
  4. Choose the Swik amount (security deposit or no-show) you wish to request.
    • Optional: Add an internal reference to filter your transactions more easily on your dashboard.
    • Optional: Add a maximum number of acceptances.
  5. Click on Generate a Permalink.

Your Permalink will appear instantly. You can copy it, enable/disable it, and modify it as needed.

With the permalink, the security deposit has a validity period of 90 days from the date the security deposit is made by your client.

  • Automatically

If you want to automate your security deposit requests but Swikly is not yet integrated into your management software (PMS), you have two options:

  • Automation via our APIs
  • Automation via the creation of a Permalink.
